1️⃣ Chicken Curry with Garam Masala powder
Ingredients:
- 500g chicken pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 2 tsp Garam Masala powder
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
- Mix in tomato puree, turmeric, and red chili powder; cook 5 minutes.
- Add chicken pieces and salt, and cook until tender.
- Sprinkle Garam Masala and simmer for 2 more minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
2️⃣ Paneer Butter Masala
Ingredients:
- 250g paneer cubes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
- 2 tsp butter
- ½ tsp kasuri methi
- 1 tsp cream (optional)
Method:
- Heat butter in a pan and sauté onions until golden.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and cook 1–2 minutes.
- Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.
- Mix in paneer, Garam Masala, and kasuri methi.
- Finish with cream for a rich, smooth texture. Serve with naan or rice.
3️⃣ Vegetable Pulao
Ingredients:
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrot, beans, peas)
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 2 tbsp ghee or oil
- 2 cloves, 2 cardamoms, 1 bay leaf
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Wash and soak basmati rice for 20 minutes.
- Heat ghee in a pan and add whole spices (cloves, cardamoms, bay leaf).
- Sauté vegetables for 2 minutes.
- Add rice, salt, and water; cook covered until rice is done.
- Sprinkle Garam Masala and fluff gently before serving.
4️⃣ Dal Tadka
Ingredients:
- 1 cup yellow lentils (toor dal)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 2 tsp Garam Masala
- 2 tsp ghee
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
Method:
- Cook dal in water until soft.
- Heat ghee in a pan, sauté cumin seeds, garlic, onion, and tomato.
- Add Garam Masala and fry for 1 minute.
- Mix with cooked dal and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
5️⃣ Masala Chai with Garam Masala powder
Ingredients:
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp black tea leaves
- 1 tsp sugar (or to taste)
- ¼ tsp Garam Masala
- 2 cardamoms, crushed
Method:
- Boil water and add tea leaves and crushed cardamoms.
- Pour in milk and add sugar, bringing it to a boil.
- Add Garam Masala and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Strain and serve hot.
